North Coast Integrated College is not only the largest secondaryschool in the area, but is also the most modern. We opened our doors in 1996,and are now a growing community of learners, constantly updating the courses weoffer, and keeping up to date with developments in education.

Our teachers are young and full of fresh ideas, not only about whatwe teach, but also about the way we deliver our lessons. You will find the Collegean exciting and interesting place to study, whether you are taking traditionalacademic A levels, or the newer applied and vocational subjects.

When you receive your results in August, you will have a tailoredinterview with our curriculum leaders and careers staff, helping you to choosefrom a wide range of subjects the best post-16 courses available anywhere andyou will be taken through the implications these choices will have for yourchosen careers pathway.

North Coast Integrated College is a place where the relationshipsbetween teachers and post-16 students are excellent. Dedicated teachersunderstand that the issues facing young adults today are complex, and you willbe treated with the respect that we want you to develop towards others. We havehigh standards, and we understand that 16-18 year olds will make differentdemands of us, in terms of making school enjoyable, while keeping you on thetrack towards success.

We have a great deal of pride in the number of students we finduniversity entrance for – most of our post-16 students go to university, andmost of them report back how much life at North Coast prepared them for themore grown-up world of Higher Education. We continue every year to develop ourSixth Form programme, and make sure our students are studying courses that suittheir interests and abilities.

Our facilities are of the highest standards; we have first classI.C.T. suites, and a dedicated Sixth Form study room with computers alwaysavailable. You will be able to work quietly in private study, or use thelibrary to research and prepare work for your teachers. Our aim is to prepareyou for the greater amount of independence you will need for success at thislevel, and our study facilities are there to develop this independence in ourstudents.

Sixth form at North Coast Integrated College

Asa Sixth Form student at North Coast Integrated College, you will have:

Sixth Form Entry & Curriculum September 2008

FromSeptember 2008 Sixth Form students will have the flexibility to choose from acombination of academic and vocational courses. Some courses will be offered incollaboration with the Northern Regional College.
