College, Coleraine is partnered with St.Joseph’s High School, Dublin as part of a cross-border exchange programme funded by Co-operation Ireland’s Civic Link. Civic-Link has adapted the United States Centre for Civic Education’s Project Citizen model, into a co-operative venture between schools in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The Art and Design Department at North Coast Integrated College, actively promotes educational visits for our KS3, GCSE and AS/A2 GCE Art and Design students.
On Monday 17th November 2008, our senior Art and Design students were greatly inspired by their visit to the ‘True Colours’ CCEA Exhibition at Omagh F.E. College.

Two Yr. 12 OSQ Photography groups attended workshops at Flowerfield Arts Centre in November 2008. The workshops were taken by Dr. Steve Lowry from the University of Ulster. The students developed film/prints in the darkroom and experimented with a wide range of lenses and cameras.

At North Coast Integrated College this week, staff and students took part in a ‘Grease’ Theme Day and succeeded in raising £1,000 for the charity ‘Children in Need. More info click here

The Key Programme is a cross border/cross community initiative which the College has been involved in over the past number of years. It incorporates enterprise training and outdoor activity.

On the 31st of January 2008, despite the frightful weather, North Coast Integrated College gladly opened it’s doors to prospective year 8 pupils and their parents. Future year 13 students were also welcomed.

This year once again NorthCoast has had a very successful Integrated Education week with a wide range of activities for all students. The theme for the week was ‘The eye’ where students were looking at different aspects of the theme including their vision for the future.More info click here

On Monday 16 June 2008 the year 11 OSQ Hair and Beauty students took part in the annual Hair show. The College has its very own fully equipped hair salon to allow students to have the most authentic experience possible. Course tutor, Mrs Jill McClelland organised the Hair show so that her protégées could showcase their skills and progress.

Education for Employability is a compulsory component of the Revised Northern Ireland Curriculum which looks at areas such as career planning, the local and global economy as well as enterprise and entrepreneurship.

Our cross-border link with Cistercian college, Roscrea has been continuing with the Tipperary school being hosted by NorthCoast. CistercianCollegeis a Catholic seven day Boarding School for boys connected to the famous MountSaint Joseph’s Abbey in Co.Tipperary.More info click here
