Award Winning Animator at North Coast Integrated College

Year 13 student Emma received an award for the best GCSE Animated Film in the North West and the third best in the whole of Northern Ireland! Emma and her Moving Image Art Teacher, Mrs. McMullan and supporters from the College travelled to Derry city to attend CCEA’s annual Moving Image Arts Awards Showcase where all the winning films were screened. This unique event has been running for over six years now and is sponsored by City of Derry Crystal as part of the Foyle Film Festival. Additional awards screenings have also been hosted at the Queens Film Theatre as part of the annual Cinemagic film festival in Belfast.

Emma’s animation was described as ‘outstanding and deserving of recognition’ at the event. Congratulations Emma. NCIC is very proud of your achievement – well done!
